Meditation Stick By keeping the body still, the mind also begins to be quiet. To aid in this process, we are using meditation sticks that are hand-crafted at the monastery. The sticks are smoothly-sanded, light pine branches, approximately 16 inches long and 1 inch in diameter. They are banded at a 'balance point' so that the meditator can rest the stick on an extended finger. When held in a mindful, gentle way at the banded point, the stick will balance. This helps keep the mind focused and in a place of natural, heightened awareness. |

The Wish-Fulfilling Gem Mantra

Sounds of the VOID...HÜM
HÜM is an ancient Sanskrit syllable whose sound, when chanted, replicates the sound of the VOID, or Pure Consciousness.
