HÜMÜH’s
Transendental Awareness Institute
HÜMÜH is referred
to as a ‘Jeweled Path’ because it has a living Wisdom Master at its heart.
That living Wisdom Master/ Teacher is sometimes
referred to as ‘The Three Jewels: The Teacher, the Teachings, which arise from
the Teacher, and the Path, which flows from those Teachings.’
HÜMÜH’s Transcendental Awareness
Institute (H.T.A.I.) is a ‘school without walls.’ It exists wherever the
Wisdom Master is and wherever she offers the Divine Teachings to be shared.
HÜMÜH’s Transcendental Awareness Institute
is the vehicle for the Wisdom Master’s Teaching program, a vehicle that now
offers Three Ways a student may walk the path to enlightenment.
The first way
is the Way of the
Home-Study Student—who
wants to enrich their life in the world by receiving monthly spiritual
Teachings, being notified of special programs and events, and occasionally
leaving their life in the world to come on retreat or attend a special Teaching
with the Wisdom Master.
The second way is the
Way of the Apprentice Bodhisattva—someone
who wants to make a vowed commitment to learn to live as a bodhisattva, or one
who lives for the good of the whole, in service to all sentient life. This level
of student enters into a direct relationship with the Wisdom Master. They not
only receive the monthly Teaching, but also undertake special experiential
initiations given to them by the Wisdom Master, and pursue the study of the 100
Transcendental Awareness Key Formulas. They progress through
home-study at their
own pace, guided by the Wisdom Master, and come for study and retreat as
possible, in order to be in the Wisdom Master’s Presence.
The third way is the
Way of the T.A.I. Degree Candidate—someone
who wants to formally study HÜMÜH Buddhism and receive H.T.A.I. credit
for coursework completed. This is an Apprentice Bodhisattva who seeks
certification through a Bachelor in Logic & Buddhism,
B.S., a Master in
Logic & Buddhism, M.S.,
or a Doctorate in Logic & Buddhism,
PhD. In addition to the above requirements, this
level student must also complete a certain number of elective hours
of home-study course
work, as well as time spent receiving instruction
directly in the Wisdom Master’s presence (not just through tapes and
correspondence) by coming for retreat time and/or taking classes that are not
part of the T.A. Key Formula Series.
