HÜMÜH: Transcendental Buddhism,
Path to Enlightenment

Like ancient seed sprouting in new soil, HÜMÜH, Transcendental Buddhism, Path of Enlightenment made its first appearance in March of 1992. Brought forth by Wisdom Master Maticintin as an expression of primordial wisdom that directly addresses the Western body/mind connection, the spiritual path of HÜMÜH began in the United States and rapidly expanded into Canada, while developing membership in a variety of other countries.

As a spiritual path, HÜMÜH extracts the nectar from the Teachings of earlier schools of Buddhism such as Vipassana, Zen, and Tibetan and expounds life as a transcendental dreamtime whose purpose is to create the experiences necessary for the dreamer to awaken fully to enlightened consciousness. The term transcendental means to go beyond the limitations of the ordinary consciousness which sees things as dual (life/death, good/bad, worthy/unworthy) to the non-dual, all-encompassing reality of Oneness. This opens the door to experiencing life from the overview, which enables one to make choices that end habitual suffering.

The essential Teachings of HÜMÜH encompass loving kindness and compassion toward all living beings; they also contain specific practices for opening the heart. The practitioner of HÜMÜH can become a bodhisattva, a person who consciously acts for the benefit of others as an essential part of pursuing one’s own enlightenment. On this transcendental path, bodhisattva action and meditation are combined with shamanic healing and systems of alchemy through transformations of energy, pure-vision, non-duality, equanimity, and spontaneity. HÜMÜH employs skillful and powerful creative practices, initiations, and mantras that lead to the transcendental awakenings necessary to transmute unwanted life-situations.
