A Buddhafield is... A Place for Healing

"A visitor to Skycliffe led me and two others down Empowerment Lane to show us the waterfalls that she had discovered. I was pleasantly surprised when I saw them. One was about two feet high, and the other about double that height, and both were set in woodland vortexes along Lost Horse Creek. As we stood gazing into the first waterfall setting, our attention was captivated with the beauty of what we were seeing, when suddenly, the sun peeked through the spring clouds. At the prompting of our enthusiasm, we were prodded on to see the next waterfall. A few moments later, we entered a thirty-foot circle of trees and sat in front of a magical four-foot waterfall. Once again, the sun peeked out from behind the clouds and spotlighted the view that encompassed us. We were sitting in a circle of light, absorbing the natural setting with its tall trees and sounds of rushing water.

The visitor who showed us the waterfalls was a medical doctor; another of the visitors with us was a hospital administrator and nurse practitioner, and the third, a retired high school French teacher. As we sat, we spoke about healing and wellness, the effects of sights and sounds upon the nervous system; and each reflected upon their own state of wellness while being at Skycliffe. Each individual enjoyed the lack of familiar pressure that accompanied their ordinary life, noting that their view of their life was clearer, and that they could return to the world feeling renewed and refreshed. From my point of view, I was aware of each of them as a work in progress toward spiritual evolution.

While the waterfalls may be unique to the springtime of the year, healings at Skycliffe are not an anomaly. Wellness does not come from outside of us, although a healthy environment certainly assists in the process; wellness is shaped in our mind. If our ideas are rigidly held in place by strong attitudes and opinions, if we live in fear, or in conflict, our mental molds will form dis-ease. When one comes to Skycliffe, they are confronted with a vision of life that is open, clear, and spontaneously free. The molds of dis-ease are exposed and a vision of health is made possible. If you have ever been to Skycliffe, you have felt what I am talking about. It is a place where you can come to experience the Spiritual Teachings, and where you can discover how to refine yourself by first witnessing the Teachings in animation in other people’s lives and then by self-discovery."
